Snake Bay

Snake Bay is located at the southeast end of Boka St. Michiel. Its name refers to the eels -not the snakes- which can be seen here. Swim out over the sand to the drop-off; the bottom at entry is coral rubble. There is minimal wave action and little current, with good visibility -about 30 m (100 ft). The wall starts at 12 m (40 ft) and drops to over 43 m (140 ft) so watch your depth. Look for sea turtles, seahorses, frogfish and occasionally dolphins as well as typical reef fish.
